I decided to pursue a Master of Arts in History in early 2019. I had recently accepted a position with the National Park Service at Niobrara National Scenic River and my options for attending a course in-person was severely limited. After considerable research I discovered an online program through the University of Nebraska-Kearney that would allow me to achieve my academic goals.

Little did I know that I would be embarking on a journey through historiography while living through historical events. While it took a little longer than I thought to complete my program of study, I am proud to have experienced this endeavor. Throughout my experience at UNK, I was working full time, rearing two small children, and working towards a variety of goals.
